Freedom From Fear To Love (FFFTL)

FFFTL is part of Outcome, Islington Mind’s LGBTQI+ community-led mental health project. FFFTL is for anyone who is LGBTQI+ and currently seeking asylum on the grounds of sexuality/gender, as well as for anyone who is granted refugee status on these grounds.

We offer non-judgemental, safe, and inclusive support that is specially designed for the unique challenges people face as a result of seeking asylum, such as fleeing violence and persecution in home countries as well as navigating the challenges of the Home Office in the U.K.

We combine a holistic, therapeutically-minded, and non-medical approach to offer both practical and emotional support. Indicative activities includes one-to-one crisis intervention, information and referrals to other safe service providers, including those who offer support with legal issues, benefits, and grants, group therapy & supportive peer groups, and access to our specialist psychotherapy service.
