Black History Month Open Day at Outcome – 25 October 2022
We are extremely excited to invite you to our in-person open-day on Tuesday 25 October celebrating Black History Month from our LGBTIQ+ perspective!
What is it?
This is our first in-person open day since before the pandemic, which makes this event very special and we cannot wait!
On this day we are offering a series of taster sessions of our activities, such as art and creative writing, yoga, gender-specific groups, as well as opportunities to find out more about Outcome.
The afternoon is hybrid (both online and in-person) and will consist of a series of performances by our Outcome members, ranging from poetry to dance.
We will also be providing a delicious, home-cooked, nutritious lunch for £2.50.
Black History Month 2022
The theme to this year’s BHM is Black Health and Wellness. You can find out more about the month and its significance, order resource packs, and find out how to support throughout the year at the Black History Month website.
At Outcome we will be focusing on the contributions of Black professionals and speaking to the cultural richness of health and wellness practitioners. We will be holding space to consider cultural diversity in mental health, client-centred services, where we have been, how we show up in the service of our continuance, and how we aim to continue to centre and promote mental wellbeing for all, affirming you where you are and supporting you when you wish to move.
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome to come along!
We welcome other services in Islington and across London who would like to learn more about Outcome, as well as share information and create links with us and other services. We encourage relaxed mingling and networking and are keen to create new local referral pathways. We also want to welcome future Outcome members as well as people who access other Islington and London mental health and/or LGBTIQ+ services.
And, of course, we warmly welcome our existing Outcome members who make Outcome the special, joyful, and warm place that it is.

Tuesday 25 October, 11:00am – 4:00pm in-person at our day centre.
